Morgan is my youngest boy who has a few problems,one being ADHD he finds it hard to sleep at night concentrate ec and creats a house load of stress but i love him to bits.

yesterday he obtained some matches and a candle and se t a fire in his bedroom,hed climbed the work service and took 1x match and a side of the match box to strike it against.Lucky for us the fire which envolved a stuffed small toy also went out,the smoke detectors failed to activate and my wife who smelled the fire found the contents stuffed in his drawer,

We were lucky as my little girl was still inbed and if it had happened during the night it could of been a different story,we have had the fire brigade in today to speak to him and will be doing some work with him on all this and they have supplied us with new working smoke detectors and given us some advice ref the little guy and things.

All i can say issomeone was looking after us ,i was on my way home from work at the time,it could of been a different story.

You certainly must have an Angel watching over all of you.

Earthly possessions can be replaced, but not the lives of your loved ones. I hope the talk the fire brigade gives your son helps all of you out.

What a shock that must have been! You do seem to have been looked after, and thankfully nobody got hurt. Hope nothing like that ever happens to you all again.

WW how worrying for you all - I work with children that present with ADHD and other behaviour problems, so know only too well how things can be. You have to be on your toes all the time.

Yet when I was younger, around 10 years of age, I had a tremendous fascination with matches and one hot summer's day, I crawled through a fence that separated my garden from an elderly neighbour's garden and struck a match. It had been during the school holidays and there had been no rain for many weeks. Being elderly, her garden had been allowed to overgrow, so it was as dry as a bone and a good 2 feet high with grass and weeds. I lit a match and set the whole garden on fire! The fire brigade were called and boy did I get an earful from my parents.

Children are unpredicatable and even with the best behaved child (not that I was, lol), mischief happens. I am just so happy that your story had a happy outcome and nobody was hurt.
