This is a good example of a photo taken back in the late 1800's or early 1900's at a time that you had to be perfectly still in a photo. Any movement would cause the subject to look partly invisible or create strange illusions. This is possibly the explanation for a lot of old ghostly photos and I would think that some photographers that realised this, would have deliberately faked photos in this manor
