Grave beam of light

Postby Dellycat » Sat May 04, 2013 1:00 pm

I am sure I know what is causing this and the discussion below the pic hasn't said it yet. What do you think this is?

I found it..when you click on the link look down the list and click on GRAVE BEAM OF LIGHT..it will open up their discussion..

someone called ASH has commented
it's a rain/snow or dust droplet, it happens because of the slow shutter speed and the droplet going fast causing a trail behind the object, (Google image it) no ghosts believe me

Stuff that site, it has the most stupid navigation and layout that I think I have ever had the misfortune to come across and I hate framed pages nested in framed pages...
Everytime I try to open that stupid picture it downloads to my bloody computer!

Here it is seeing as it likes me so much.

I've had thus twice before taking photos at night many years ago (sorry but can't back it up due to losing many
photos over the years) but what happened is (quoating a pro photographer with 20 odd years experience)
the flash has hit a reflective stone or object at the correct angle making a beam of light shot out of the
object !! but I could be wrong on thus picture :examine:

Good one James, hadn't thought of that one before. :cheesy:
I am leaning on it being a strand of hair that has fallen in front of the camera at the time of the shot as it has that sort of scaly type of look consistent with proven photos of hair caught on camera. :examine:
