Memories of the band of the Titanic

Postby Gwyn » Sat Feb 11, 2012 4:58 am

This April will be the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, which I consider to be a grave site and probably forever haunted. What happened that night haunts us all with its tragic loss of life and I suppose we will still find it interesting when the ship itself has rotted away almost completely. Out of respect for this, some (I hope most) tour operators will make their last submersible visit to the wreck in the next month or two, then hopefully the ship and its occupants will be left in peace. This post is about the leader of the band which played on that night- heroes all. The leader was a Lancashire man (my county) and this link is about his memorial which was well earned that night long ago.

Thank you for finding that one Gwyn
It is good to hear that the tourist visits to the site will stop soon, then those that went down with the ship can finally rest in some sort of peace.
I wonder if it is a good time to start a dedicated topic to the Titanic and those that lost their lives that night and I know Aufo8mycow has some information about another person from his village that died that night as well.

What do you all think?
