Wolston Park Luncatic Asylum (Abandoned Wing)

Talk about the hauntings and ghosts of Australia. If you know of a place of interest post it here. If we get enough information on a place it will then be placed in the Australia's Historical Haunted Places forum.

Good to see this topics active. We have still been trying to get permission with no luck. I've been talking to someone in the open ward about trying to talk to the people who run the place. They are trying there best and are getting abit of interest. All we need is Word of Mouth to get this place opened to us ghost hunters!

Edit: Oh and sorry about the image going down, i've had to suspend my website due to funds. Will get it back up asap. I backed up everything.

Hey all, found this thread when looking for some information on Wolston park.

I ended up doing a photo shoot in the old womens ward not to long ago, this ward is the large old building when entering the facility.

The other buildings which are the male wards are currently boarded up and I fear will not be around for too much longer. There is a cricket pitch in the middle of the facility which is publicly used. I have and would recommend driving in "looking for the cricket pitch". The large 3 I think its 3 buildings on the opposite side are the old mens wards, not sure how long they are going to be around for havent gone back to try and have a look.

In terms of the photos of the womens ward was fun to do took some pretty expensive gear in to get the quality of photos would go again maybe with some more gear if there was a permitted trip I guess (Doubtful due to insurance liability).

Anyway's happy to help answer any questions there might be, feel free to let me know.

Cheers.

Hi Mitch firstly Welcome to the group Forum, glad you found us, unfortunately due to site rules I'll have to remove your personal weblink,it clearly states in the Guidlines (#14) as to why, we would more than gladly have your photo added to this link if you wish, all material on AG is not to be used without authorisation of photo/article owner and or Admin, but to double you security on your photos add a watermark
thanks for understanding :hi:

Well what can I say , we have a mountain of info ,TV shows,History,Music,a well stocked virtual coffee shop bar and grill, and even movies, some crusty old spooky ones too...If theres anything we can help you with in regards to the site or any Paranormal questions , please do not hesitate to ask, theres always someone around.

Once again , Thank you for taking the time to join us and Welcome aboard.

just a foot note :
please use commonsense when "choosing" to meet up with people online..a better idea would be to go on an Organised tour rather than just a bunch of people who have never met wandering around in the dark :dontthinkso:
It's a "Safety Issue" thats being pointed out here.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT :bigwink:

Thank you Jemm
I would prefer people to do an organised tour please as Jemm has suggested.
We feel we have a duty of care on this board and discourage people from organising events, meetings, investigations etc
While we all get on in the general Internet world, we don't know the other person on the otherside of the keyboard or computer screen are who they say they are. A few of us have become friends over a long period of time, others we don't know at all and it is a massive risk or chance to take meeting a stranger.
As we can see from above, it doesn't take long for people to get carried away with the idea, caught up in the excitement then it isn't until later they think about it. Easier stopped before it starts.

We hope you understand our view on this

Wow, they really are awesome pics!! Love the first one the most!!

As for the safety thing when wanting to get together for 'investigations' with strangers.... that's why I always take along a friend or 2... preferably the smallest and weakest ones I know... so if someone in the group does turn out to be related to Ivan Milat... I gots more chance of out running them!!!!..... :roflmao:
